William and his son DembĂ© lived with the people of Kibera in the summer of 2009 teaching youth [many of which are orphans] journalism, photography and film/video techniques. William and his son are continuing their volunteer work with a group from Kibera called Pamoja Youth Foundation by producing a documentary about Kibera as well as Podcasting many short films/videos from their time spent there. They helped to organize a music/street festival where local talent from Kibera performed Hip Hop, Rap, Dance, Spoken Word, Poetry, MC skills, etc. Much of the event was filmed and is available on the iTunes Podcast “Pamoja Youth” or on YouTube
