A growing crackdown by Chinese against environmental protection advocates!

The incident at the Cement factory is part of a growing crackdown by Chinese authorities against Tibetans advocating for environmental protection. Just last week, Radio Free Asia reported that five Tibetans were injured when police moved in to stop protests against mine operations in Markham, another part of eastern Tibet. News of these protests come almost a year after Tibetans in the area successfully shut down a mine operation at the sacred Ser Ngul Lo mountain.
